\nThe consumption of alcohol on board is strictly forbidden. The use of mobile phones is restricted for all persons on board. Young people are not allowed to use their personal telephone on board. However, they will be able to have contact with their relatives thanks to a telephone made available to them at times chosen and defined by the educational team. They may only be used during off-shift times.<\/p>\n
\nBefore embarking, young people must provide a medical certificate of good health and be up to date with vaccinations. They must also be covered by repatriation insurance. If the young person is undergoing medical treatment, they must inform the educational team. The boats are equipped with a medical kit, which can only be used in case of emergency and on the advice of a doctor. The crew is not authorised to issue medication in other circumstances.<\/p>\n
\nSeasickness is often caused by hunger, cold or fatigue. It usually does not last more than a day. No one is immune to seasickness, even the most experienced sailors. If the young person thinks he or she may be prone to seasickness, he or she can obtain the necessary medication as a preventive measure. \nMeals and washing up are organised in teams, generally the same as the watch. The provisioning of the boat is entrusted to the crew, under the responsibility of the skipper. The skipper is responsible for the supply and storage of foodstuffs, particularly perishable goods.<\/p>\n
\nOn boarding, each young person is allocated a cabin by the skipper. In these cabins, which have two or three places, mixed sex is not allowed.<\/p>\n
\nEach young person has a storage space in the cabins for their personal belongings. For reasons of space, it is advisable to bring a minimum of clothes. A soft travel bag is ideal, as suitcases cannot be taken on board due to their size.
