After 10 days in Bermuda, on our way north.<\/h4>\n

At the end of April, three new young people join the Mauritius as part of the “Jeunes en mer” socio-educational program. It’s a rough crossing between the Bahamas and Bermuda. In the wheelhouse, the watch teams work on their balance. Wedging the pots and pans is a real headache. Mooring is done in difficult conditions, but despite everything, the general atmosphere is very good.<\/p>\n

After some seven days’ sailing, the coast of the British archipelago appears on the horizon. The team continued to the north of the island, sheltering in St. George’s Harbour, a bay opposite the town of the same name. At anchor, the usual maintenance work begins on deck: pitting rust, painting here and there, taking care of the boat… Artist Olivier Dumoulin completes the crew as part of the “Sillages” art publication.<\/p>\n

The departure is felt. The next navigation is even more demanding: 750 nautical miles to reach Halifax in Canada. Numerous lows are delaying the start of the next leg, but over the next few days, a favorable weather window is opening up for us to set sail.<\/p>\n
