Facing the mountains<\/h4>\n

An all-female team is hard at work on the sailboat Que Sera, preparing for the upcoming Arctic season. The port of Homer, located on the 7.2 km spit of land known as “Homer Spit”, faces the snow-capped mountains of Kachemak Bay State Park. The view doesn’t make the job any easier for Lea, Megan and Lisa. Alaska is Alaska…<\/p>\n

In spite of everything, the trio enjoys the visit and support of many people, including some locals who are always ready to welcome travelers with open arms.<\/p>\n

Well done for the work, more news to come on this next polar expedition!<\/p>\n
