Artistic views

Because old sailing ships alone are wonderful breeding grounds for the imagination and escape, Pacifique has been inviting artists to take up residencies on board since 2015.
The result is several publications designed to raise awareness and encourage reflection on environmental issues in an original, poetic way for the widest possible audience.

Promoting the missions carried out on board

Through its various scientific, educational and artistic missions, Pacifique has created a range of exhibitions to showcase all the expeditions that take place on board our sailing ships.

Presenting Pacifique to a larger audience

Pacifique members regularly take part in a variety of events, conferences and so on, in order to share their experience of the many facets of our work. These occasions for exchange are an opportunity to showcase our commitment and forge links with different audiences, partners and other players in the social, scientific, artistic or environmental spheres.

Essential digital traces

As a key player in the digital age, Pacifique is committed to recording and sharing the results of its missions in a variety of ways. From time to time, professional film-makers come on board to work on one or more aspects of our sailboats. These productions can be found freely accessible on our Youtube page.

“Draw me the journey”

Conducted in collaboration with Geneva’s Department of Public Education (DIP), the aim of these workshops is to bring together the artists on board and school classes to explore various themes relating to travel and the environment through drawing and art.

Between 2020 and 2025, just over sixty drawing and engraving workshops were held each year in primary and secondary I & II schools in the canton of Geneva.
