Today the OneOceanSummit opens in Brest, an international summit that brings together scientists, lawyers, economic and regional actors and State representatives. Its aim is to complete international maritime law in order to better protect the biodiversity of the high seas.
Naturally, this is an event that we at the Fondation Pacifique are following closely, and which is generating a lot of expectations on our side. We hope for concrete commitments at the end of this summit to better protect our oceans.
