Sailing for mangroves in the Gambia

In collaboration with the University of Geneva, Gambia’s GREAT Institute and Swansea University, the Pacifique sailboats welcomed Gambian students for just over 2 weeks in January each year to carry out studies on greenhouse gases and mangroves.

Ocean Mapping Expedition

500 years after Ferdinand de Magellan, the Pacifique undertook a 4-year round-the-world sailing trip aboard Fleur de Passion to observe, understand and map the state of the oceans in the light of the expedition led by the discoverer of the Pacifique.

The Changing Oceans

Under the patronage of UNESCO and the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), the Pacifique is leading its first long-distance expedition, The Changing Oceans Expedition, in the Mediterranean, Atlantic, North and Baltic Seas, the Red Sea and the Caribbean aboard the Fleur de Passion.
