And it is always an emotional moment to see a ship return to the water.
To the delight of the crew, everything went wonderfully well for the Mauritius, which returned to its “element” last Wednesday. The boat is still in the port of Keflavík, a few miles from the Icelandic capital.
The final preparations for the departure to Greenland are now underway. And if all the weather conditions are right, Mauritius will set sail for Cape Farvel as part of The Arctic Expedition season 2 on 1 June!
