It was while getting up that the crew of the Mauritius was surprised to come across the tracks of a polar bear.
The specimen, probably attracted by the smell of a seal hunted earlier by the locals, had all the time in the world to steal the prey to consume it a few meters further.
The thief quickly returned to the ice floe once he had committed his crime, in order to avoid the locals in the early morning.
It is not necessarily good to go for night walks in Greenland!
