In the spring of 2019, the Fondation Pacifique received wide coverage from several Swiss and international media organs. In its May 21 issue, The Journal des Bains des Paquis, a free bi-annual newspaper published by one of Geneva’s major social institutions, continued with its chronicling of The Ocean Expedition, which the newspaper has been covering since the expedition’s launch in 2015. (le journal des bains). In its June issue, Migros Magazine reviews the expedition’s scientific programmes (www.migrosmagazine.ch). Meanwhile, Bilan business magazine, also in its June issue, deals with the more specific topic of plastic pollution and examines the Micromegas programme in a dossier which lists the different initiatives that have emerged to tackle this scourge in recent years (www.bilan.ch/economie/ils-luttent-contre-la-bombe-du-plastique). Finally, and also with regard to international media, the Foundation was “the French-speaking guest” on TV5Monde’s television news programme on May 26 (www.youtube.com/watch?v=b1X5W3jdIQw).
