An ocean further on…

“Land in sight! These are the first words to be heard on deck after 19 days on the open sea. Just over 2,100 nautical miles (around 3,900 kilometers) separate Cape Verde from the Antilles. The crew dropped anchor on Sunday February 26 in the port of Le Marin, south of Martinique. Despite the lack of wind in the middle of the course for several days, conditions were ideal for sailing.

Well done to the whole crew, and particularly to the young people, for making it to the end of this transatlantic journey. We’ll be taking a few days’ rest before setting sail again with a new crew.
