Pacifique is a not-for-profit organisation that designs and organises multidisciplinary expeditions aboard its two sailing boats, Fleur de Passion and Mauritius. It was founded by adventure enthusiasts with a real awareness of the ecological issues unfolding before our eyes.
As part of its “Jeunes en mer” programme, Pacifique welcomes aboard its sailing boats young people in difficulty who have been placed in care by the courts and various judicial authorities in Switzerland. The aim of these short-term breaks is to offer a pause, a new framework in the young person’s life to help them reintegrate into society.
As much a platform for implementing projects as a bridge between continents and people, Pacifique favours scientific diagnosis as a prerequisite for any solution in favour of the oceans. On board, Pacifique leads It offers the international scientific community the opportunity to carry out long-term research programmes or one-off missions on board, thanks to the undreamt-of potential of sailing ships.
At the same time, in Geneva, Switzerland, and at the ports of call of its expeditions, Pacifique carries out awareness-raising activities. It is developing a wide range of events, media and digital activities aimed at decision-makers and the general public.
