Stopover in Gjoa Haven.

18 august, everything is going well aboard Que Sera. After a few nautical miles in mist and light rain, the crew made a short stopover in the small town of Gjoa Haven. Jessica and Okalik from the Beyond Her Horizons team went ashore to meet Miriam Aglukkaq, a keeper of traditional Inuit knowledge and stories.

The boat continues on towards Cambridge Bay / Iqaluktuuttiaq, passing close to the site of HMS Erebus. A famous but tragic story, the ship was one of two engaged in 1845 in the exploration of the Northwest Passage in the Arctic under the command of Captain Franklin.
